❄ Day 12 of 12 Days of CLHMakeup: The Perfect Christmas Eve Hamper ❄

Today I thought I'd share what I put in my Christmas Eve hamper present I just thought this was just a really cute idea as the holidays are a stressful time. Therefore showing your gratitude towards someone is so important. My hamper is quite big but you can customize it completely. I am going to link down below as many products as possible so enjoy!

I decided to make this Christmas Eve hamper almost like a pamper pack. I included a Lush bath bomb I picked Golden Wonder, a couple of nail polishes I chose Models Own HyperGel in Red Lustre and of course a glitter top coat which is Essie's Set in Stone.

I also has some fun in the Soap and Glory mini section and picked up a Clean on Me Shower Gel (which could be used as bubble bath), The Scrub of Your Life, Hand Food and the Vitamin C Facial Wash. So their skin can be nice and prepped for Christmas Day. I also placed in there the Santa's Lip Scrub and a Mac Ruby Woo lipstick for Christmas lips on the big day.

Whilst in The Range I found this really cute Christmas colouring book and these felt tips in a really handy case. I also found this tiny little mason jar candle in the scent Cranberry Spice.

I did also put some of my Christmas treats in there which I did do a blog post on so check that out if your want to see the recipes for these treats.

That's all in my Christmas Eve hamper present, I hoped you enjoyed and I will see you next week seen as this was the last day of 12 days of CLHMakeup. Which I'm so sad about because I've enjoyed so much.

❄ Day 11 of 12 Days of CLHMakeup: How to save money at Lush ❄

Today I thought I'd share my tips on trying to get some Lush products a bit cheaper as I know how much we love their products but they can be a little bit pricey due to them being natural products and cruelty free. I know how good Lush can be good for Christmas presents as well so I thought it would be the perfect time of year to share for tips. If you want to see Lush's Christmas I did two posts the one where I outlined all the individual items (click here) and then the one showing all the amazing Christmas gifts (click here). Now I feel like I've babbled for too long so let's get into it.
  1. Make use of the Boxing Day Sale -  this is the only sale they have all year round so stock up on some of your favourite Christmas items. Everything is half price and sometimes you find non-Christmas items int he sale just due to overstock. I personally spend a lot of money of Boxing Day but it lasts me until summer on half price items.
  2. Cut Bubble Bars - I know a lot for people know this hack but definitely cut up your bubble bars for example The Comforter might be £4.95. But I can actually get 8 baths out of it, which works out about 60p a bath.
  3. Stick to Bubble Bars - As mentioned previously you can cut bubble bars up to cut costs however cutting a bath bomb would be a little bit less successful. So with some bath bombs priced as much as £4.25 it's definitely more cost effective to buy bubble bars and skip the bath bombs.
  4. Check the prices of the Gift sets - This is a trick I've only discovered recently is to check the prices of the gift sets, this may sounds weird but the gift sets can actually be more pricey than just buying the products by themselves. I know the boxes look amazing and are perfect for presents but you may be better buying them separately to get more for your money.
  5. Try before you buy - If you're wondering whether you want to buy one of the potted products but you're not too sure whether you will like it. Just pop into your local store and ask one of the workers for a sample. I've only done this one but I was glad I did as it saved me £12.95 because I didn't end up likely it.
So that's it for my money saving tips I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you soon.

❄ Day 10 of 12 Days of CLHMakeup: Updated Skin Care Routine ❄

Today I thought I'd share with you my updated skin care routine it hasn't changed too much but it has been a year since I did one so I thought I share the changes with you.
I start by taking my makeup off I used the Ganier Micellar to take off my face makeup and the Simple eye make-up remover because I was finding the Micellar water wasn't doing a great job of taking off my mascara.
Next I cleanse my skin and because I wash my face every other day because I was finding every day was a bit much for my skin. I use the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit facial wash when I wash my face I also use the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit facial scrub but I actually have just ran out and I need to buy another. On the other days I use the Simple Pore Minimising Toning Cleanser instead of the face wash.
And my final step is to moisturise and I use the Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturiser.

That's it for my skincare routine I try to keep it as simple as I can because then I have time to do it every night. Anyway I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you soon.

Today I thought I'd share some of the Christmas bakes that I've made this year, as you can probably tell I'm hugely in the Christmas spirit this year as last year I didn't really get into it as much. I actually don't know why because I've always loved Christmas. But anyway today I'm sharing 4 Quick and Easy Recipes. Obviously I didn't come up with these recipes I got most of them from pinterest and they're some amazing little recipes on there if you want a few more ideas. So get it in Christmas spirit with me and get your Christmas playlist going and let's get baking.
Christmas Light Cupcakes (based on this recipe), they did look a little batter when I first made them as the light string icing has kind of melter. However I think they turned out quite cute and yummy.
Chocolate Orange Cookies (based on this recipe but I did add some white chocolate)
Gingerbread Men Peppermint Chocolate (based on this recipe)
Christmas "Moose Munch" (based on this recipe)

That's all the Christmas snacks that I made I feel think they turned out really cute, so I hope you enjoyed reading and it gave you some ideas and I will see you again in a few days.

❄ Day 8 of 12 Days of CLHMakeup: My Travel Makeup Bag for NYC ❄

So I'm going to New York in a couple of days and I thought in tradition I would share with you what makeup I will be taking with me. I would first just like to point out that I've tired to minimise my makeup because I do plan on buying quite a lot while were out there. But anyway let's get on with it.
Firstly for my primer I'm taking my Benefit Porefessional and  foundation is my trusted Mac Face and Body foundation in the shade N1.
Also for face products I will be taking my Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer in Ivory and Rimmel Stay Matte powder in Transparent just in case I don't know whether I'll really need to stop my face from getting oily while it's freezing in New York.
I have narrowed by palette choice down to one which will be the original Naked palette just because it has sin in there which I've been enjoying using as a face highlighter.
Other eye products include my Urban Decay Primer Potion, They're Real tinted primer and They're Real mascara.
I also will be taking my Urban Decay Afterglow highlighter in the shade Sin which quite a new products of mine but I have been loving it so much.
My chosen brow products is the Benefit Gimmie Brow in the shade Medium.
For lipsticks I decided on Mac's Brave and Viva Glam II for my everyday lipsticks and Mac's Ruby Woo matched with Rimmel's Exaggerate lip liner in Red Diva for any times we go somewhere nice while were there.
And for tools I'm taking my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge, my rose gold eyelash curlers from Primark and my Mac 224 dupe brush from eBay.

So that's it for my Travel Makeup Bag for NYC as I said I gave tried to narrow it done a lot because I will be buying quite a lot while I'm out there. So I will be doing hauls when I get back, but I hoped you enjoyed and I'll see you soon.

❄ Day 7 of 12 Days of CLHMakeup: Collective Haul ❄

We all know how much I buy, so today I'm back with another haul which does have a few Christmas bits and bobs in there so I hope you enjoy.
First I bought this adorable Santa plate from the Range as I'm doing a snacks post later and I thought it would be a perfect way to display some of the treats quite effortlessly.

Secondly also from The Range I bought this little candle which I thought was so cute and tiny in the little mason jar. Also it's a lovely Christmas scent and it was only a couple of pounds.

So I really wanted a Christmas phone case this year but I didn't want to spend too much, so I could to eBay and h=they had so much choice on there but I went for this cute and simple one.

I came to realise recently that I didn't own a wine/berry shade lipstick for the winter months, therefore when my mum was raving about these Avon Matte lipsticks I thought I'd give one a go. This ones in the shade Superb Wine and it isn't really coming up true to colour but it's gorgeous and I definitely want to try some more shades.

In my recent November favourites I was saying how I've been loving the Bubblegum lip scrub from Lush, therefore I thought I'd pick up a backup as my last one is nearly empty. However while I was in there I saw the Santa's lip scrub and remembered how much I've loved it in the past so I thought I'd pick it up again.

So that's it for my haul there's not much as I've mostly been buying Christmas presents but I hope you enjoyed none the less and I'll see you in a few days.

❄ Day 6 of 12 Days of CLHMakeup: My Top 10 Lush Products ❄

Today I'm going to share with you my personal 10 favourite Lush products seen as Christmas is quickly approaching I thought this might be good for some gift ideas. So let's get into the products.
1. Sakura bath bomb - A beautiful cherry blossom scented bomb this doesn't leave any colour in your bath but definitely leaves an amazing smell.
2. Tisty Tosty bath bomb - I feel like this is one of Lush's prettiest bath bombs as it's packed with flower buds that float acround your bath and it smells like a flower garden.
3. Big Blue bath bomb - I didn't actually try this one till quite recently when one of my friends gifted it to me but it's an amazing bomb. It fills your bathroom with the scents of the sea and it's oacked with sea weed that really benefits your skin.
4. Blackberry bath bomb - I've spoke about this particular bomb many times as it is definitely up there with my absoulute favourite bath bomb. It's so calming, smells gorgeous and goes perfectly with Comforter bubble bar.
5. Creamy Candy bubble bar - This is such a moistrising bubble bar and matches perfectly with the Butterball bath bomb with the gorgeous scents of vanilla.
6. Comforter bubble bar - This is actually the first product I actually ever purchased from Lush and it's still definitely my favourite bubble bar. It smells so fruity, creates the best bubbles and it turns your water pink.
7. You've Been Mangoed bath oil - This bath oil scented with Mango and Avocado leaves the skin feeling so luxurious, just drop in a running bath sit back and let the oil do all the work.
8. MMMelting Marshmallow Moment bath oil - With the same effect as the You've Been Mangoed bath oil except this bath oil is scented marshmallow and coconut for someone with a little bit more of a sweet tooth.
9. So White shower gel - This shower gel is inspired by the So White bath bomb that comes come at Chirstmas so this is an Lush.co.uk exclusive but it's worth making an order just for this shower gel because it smells like fresh apples.
10. Comforter shower cream - And our final product is The Comforter shower cream, which smells amazing and because it's a shower cream it leaves your skin feeling so soft.

So that's it for My Top 10 Lush Products I hope you enjoyed and it gave you some ideas on what to try next. See you soon.

❄ Day 5 of 12 Days of CLHMakeup: My Daily Makeup Routine for College ❄

Now I've been going to college for a couple of months and I have my makeup routine sorted I thought I would share it with you today.
Firstly I apply my primer which is the Benefit Porefessional because I don't want my makeup to disappear during the day.
I apply my foundation which currently I'm using Mac Face and Body Foundation in the shade N1 and I apply that with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. On top of my foundation I put my concealer to cover any spots and my dark circles because this A level student doesn't get a lot of sleep. I use the Rimmel Lasting Finish concealer.
Finally for my base products I set my makeup with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Warm Beige which gives me a bit of extra coverage but I mostly use it then my face doesn't get oily in the day.
Next I curl my eyelashes with my Primark eyelash curler and I then apply my mascara which is the Benefit They're Real.
I then do my eyebrows and I use the Benefit Gimme Brow in medium, this has been a favourite lately because I do quite thick eyebrows so using this just gives me the perfect amount of colour.
Next I apply my highlighter which is Urban Decay's Sin highlighter which has taken me ages to buy because it's been out of stock everywhere I've been. So I'm very happy to finally have it and also it is an amazing product.

So that's it for my daily makeup routine for college I hope you enjoyed I do also apply lipstick however I didn't take a photo because I always wear different lipsticks. So that's everything and I will see you guys next week.

❄ Day 4 of 12 Days of CLHMakeup: My Christmas Essentials ❄

Today I thought I would share my Christmas essentials with you because with the holidays approaching and the busy times beginning we all need our little necessities to do the holidays right. So I hope this posts might remind you of things you need to buy or it just makes you feel nice and in the Christmas spirit.
Firstly I think you always need your good old Christmas red lip and my personal favourite is definitely Mac's Ruby Woo paired with Rimmel's Exaggerate lip line in the shade Red Diva.
Next is the perfect Christmas film to snuggle up with a blanket and watch while it's freezing outside, a few of my favourites are Christmas Vacation, Elf and How the Grinch stole Christmas.
I don't know about you but there's just some foods that taste better at Christmas some favourites are definitely Bakewell Tarts and Terry's Chocolate Orange.
I also don't think Christmas is complete without a good candle to make your house smell like Christmas, I really liked this Next one from last year but I don't think they bought it back unfortunately.
Another Christmas essential is definitely my Christmas playlist because I love a good Christmas sing along, if you want to see my Christmas playlist click here to see a post I did last year about my Christmas playlist.
I have to have Christmas home wear in December in the form of my Santa, which I did actually buy this year because my last one was smashed.
I feel like Lush comes to life in the Christmas season and my Christmas isn't complete without a festive bath, a few favourites are Father Christmas bath bomb, Peeping Santa bubble bar and Candy Mountain bubble bar.
Of course we have to have a Christmas tree and ours has been up for a couple of weeks now.
And finally we have my Christmas phone case which I think is beyond cute and I am one of those people that gets so excited for Christmas that every element of me has to be Christmassy

That's it for my Christmas essentials, I hope you enjoyed, let me know your essentials and I'll see you soon.

❄ Day 3 of 12 Days of CLHMakeup: Gift Guide for Her 2016 ❄

Hi guys, so today I thought I'd do a gift guide because you really seemed to love it when I did one last year. This year I've not split them into categories I'm just doing an overall gift guide for her. The prices are a huge variation from £10- £129.

Soap and Glory Crackers (£16) - Firstly we have the Soap and Glory Crackers which I think are super cute as they include lots of mini products. I feel like you could either give these as one present or you could split these up and give them individually.
Jacks Wills Sprays (£10) - I feel like I included these in my gift guide last year and I actually ended up getting these gifted to me last year. So I thought I'd include them this year because they smell so good.
Cinematic Light Box (£36) - Something that I feel is really cute is this light box I'm not sure what I'd write on it but there's so cute.
Yankee Candle (£21.99) - You can never go wrong with a good scented candle for a Christmas present I do prefer the Yankee Candles however there's so many different brands you could pick.
Real Techniques Brush Set  (£20.99) - For the beauty lover makeup brushes are always a good pick and I really love this set from Real Techniques also Real Techniques are an amazing brand and aren't too expensive.
Lush Gift Sets (£19.95) - So we all know I love Lush and I also love sharing the Lush love whether you buy them a bath bomb or one of their gifts.
Mac Palette (£49.50) - Onto the slightly bigger presents we firstly have this gorgeous Mac palette called the Warm Neutrals palette. These have been out for a while but they have recently dropped in price.
Pandora Ring (£60) - Of course we've all seen the Rose Gold collection from Pandora and this Rose Gold Princess ring is stunning and would be perfect for a Christmas present.
Fujifilm Instax Printer (£129) - Quite a pricey item but I definitely worth it because I feel like it would be so nice to get this for Christmas and then you'd be able to print of all your favourite photos from the year.

That's it for my guide gift for 2016 I hope you enjoyed and it gave you some ideas for some Christmas presents. And I'll see you soon.

❄ Day 2 of 12 Days of CLHMakeup: My Advent Calendars ❄

I thought I'd share my choice my advent calendars for this year as I'm just currently in a really Christmassy mood, let me know which one you decided to get because I know there's so many different ones out this year it was definitely really hard to chose which one to get.
Firstly I have my beauty advent calendar of the year which is The Body Shop Calendar and I actually got the Deluxe size. I was tempted to get the Ultimate size but I actually think that this one has better products in it even though it is slightly more expensive. Unfortunately this one is sold out online now but maybe check in your local store as they may have some yet.
For my chocolate advent calendar this year I have a Thorntons advent which has my name on it. Which I might be a bit too excited about, yes I know I'm a child but I'm not bothered it's Christmas.

That's it for my Advent Calendars, I know there was a lot of choice this year but this is what I decided on. Hope you enjoyed and see you soon.

❄ Day 1 of 12 Days of CLHMakeup: November Favourites ❄

Welcome of this years version of 12 Days of CLHMakeup, so over the past few years I've done Blogmas (where I do a blogpost everyday), however this year I don't think it's going to be possible because I do have a lot on from going on holiday to good old mocks at college. So instead of trying and failing I'm doing my own approach, I'm doing 12 days of 12 Days of CLHMakeup before Christmas Eve. So without further ado let's get into the first 12 Days of CLHMakeup post.

I know I don't normally do monthly favourites but I feel like recently I've got so many different new products so I thought I would share what I've been loving with you.
First up we have my current favourite primer which is the Benefit Porefessional, I love this because firstly it smells so good and also it makes my makeup stay on all day long which is particularly important when I'm in college.
Another favourite is my current Shampoo and Conditioner which is the Tresemme Moisture Rich as it leaves my hair so silky smooth and I feel like ever since I started using it my hairs a lot straighter which is a huge upside because my hair is normally so frizzy.
You'll probably know that I've recently been to Disney and I of course took it upon myself to wear the classic red lip. I used the Mac Ruby Woo so ever since I've been back I've been wearing it so much, I actually forgot how pretty it was so I have continued to wear it while I've been back home.
You'll probably notice I have a lot of Benefit products in this haul but that's because I did recently buy a Benefit gift set lately so the next few products are from that set including Benefit Gimmie Brow. I love this product so much because I do have quite thick brows so this provides the perfect amount of shape and colour for my brows. Also it's so simple and quick to use.
Another Benefit product is the They're Real mascara which I've been wanting to by for ages and I finally got it in the Christmas set and I have never tried such a good mascara. It doesn't clump, it separates your lashes while volumising them. It's just the most perfect mascara but I'm definitely not looking forward to the steep price tag when it's time to repurchase.
One of my newest purchases in the Sin Afterglow highlighter from Urban Decay which I finally got my hands on after it being out of stock for ages. I'm so glad I got my hands on because it's so pretty because its really highly pigmented and easy to blend.
And the last beauty item is my Bubblegum lip scrub from Lush which has been so useful now were getting into the colder months and my lips are getting really chapped. Therefore this lip scrub has been a life saver as it's also not too harsh on the lips.
So I thought I'd throw in a few lifestyle favourites, firstly I'd mention my favourite TV show which is I'm a celebrity. I love this show so much and I watch it every year and I feel like it's so good this year.
My last favourite is my Christmas playlist and I know someone will say it's too early to listening to Christmas music but I don't know this year I'm just so overally excited for Christmas.

So that's it for my November favourites which I have actually really enjoyed writing so maybe we can make this a monthly thing but I don't think buy enough each month to make a monthly favourites. But let me know I maybe we can do them, so I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you soon.
